Paapa Essiedu is returning as Isaac Turner for the third season of The Capture, as confirmed by ComicBook. In the previous season, Turner was a key figure in a conspiracy, with his career threatened by a deepfake video. New photos from the upcoming season show Turner working alongside Rachel Carey, suggesting they’ve continued their partnership after uncovering the ‘Correction’ program.
New photos from the set showcase the impressive cast returning for another season, including Ron Perlman as Frank Napier and Indira Varma as Khadija Khan. Familiar faces like Hugh Quarshie, Linus Roache, Ben Miles, Lia Williams, Ginny Holder, Nigel Lindsay, Tessa Wong, and Daisy Waterstone are also back. Joining them this season are exciting new cast members Killian Scott, Jonathan Aris, Joe Dempsie, Andrew Buchan, and Amanda Drew.
What Can We Expect From Season 3 of The Capture?
The first season of The Capture followed a British soldier whose war crime acquittal was thrown into doubt by fake video evidence. The second season broadened the scope, showing how politicians and the media could also be manipulated. This created a world where you couldn’t believe what you saw, and where intelligence agencies secretly controlled what the public thought. Now, in its third season, The Capture tackles a new challenge: the public knows video can be faked. This changes everything for Rachel Carey, who is now working within the system she once tried to destroy, forcing her to navigate a very different and dangerous landscape.
A year after Carey revealed the Correction program using a convincing deepfake broadcast, the third season of The Capture finds her now leading the Counter Terrorism Command. In her new role, she’s in charge of an investigation into the illegal use of manipulated videos. At the same time, she’s launching Operation Veritas – a high-tech camera system meant to rebuild public trust through reliable and open surveillance. But this effort to improve the system is quickly challenged when a violent terrorist attack throws Carey into a new international crisis.
Season 3 of The Capture will premiere on Peacock in 2026.
