Jenna Compono’s baby girl is on the mend.
As a devoted follower, I’m sharing an update about one of our alums: It turns out that Zach Nichols’ little girl, Carmella, who is only 17 months old, has been through a terrifying ordeal due to a serious health issue. Fortunately, she’s now on the mend.
In a July 13 Instagram post featuring pictures of Carmella in a hospital bed, Jenna, aged 32, shared that Carmella had developed a croup cough which made her oxygen levels drop to 85. She was struggling to breathe and was making wheezing sounds. To determine if it was pneumonia or RSV, they took x-rays – fortunately, it wasn’t.
In the wee hours of the morning, Carmella was moved to another hospital where she received further treatment for her struggle with croup – a respiratory condition that constricts the upper airways, leading to difficulty breathing and a persistent cough.
Jenna mentioned that she received the necessary care at that place and appears to be improving,” she added. “Remember to stay clean, it’s quite distressing when a child experiences this.
Jenna, who has children Anthony (aged 3) and Liliana (aged 2) together with Zach, received encouragement from former cast members of The Challenge and supporters who had experienced similar circumstances.
In a heartfelt message, fellow contestant from ‘The Challenge’, Cohutta Lee Grindstaff, wrote: “When babies fall ill, it’s the saddest, most vulnerable sight.” He added, “I will hold her in my thoughts and prayers.
One social media user expressed sympathy for the tense late-night hospital trip, saying, “I’m thankful she’s alright! I detest emergency room visits at night with infants!! Wishing you wellness vibes!!! Lots of love.
Another follower noted, “This is so scary when it happens to babies. Glad she’s improving.”
In my role as a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: After receiving Carmella’s medical update, soon-to-be mother of four Jenna posted a heartwarming photo on social media. The image showcased Carmella, fresh from the hospital, alongside her siblings all snuggled up in their brand new, personalized sleepwear.
Next to a picture featuring Carmella wearing her custom-made princess-themed pajamas, Anthony, Liliana, and their smiling faces displaying the pajamas with their own images on them, Jenna captioned, “Mom got these personalized PJs for us.

Previously part of Bachelor Nation, he revealed his recent visit to the hospital involved crawling on hands and knees as intense lower back pain, worsened during a road trip in an RV with a buddy, left him immobilized.
At this moment, from my knees down to my toes, it’s unusually tingly, which is quite surprising,” he remarked during a March 2025 episode of his Trading Secrets podcast. “To give some context, about two or three weeks ago, I might have been squatting around 295 pounds. Now, I can’t even perform a simple squat on one leg. If I try, I risk falling over. It feels like I’ve had a minor stroke or something similar.

She recalled the event on YouTube a month later, explaining that she couldn’t respond properly to Justin’s questions and eventually lost the ability to speak altogether. The right side of her face drooped, but fortunately, it returned to normal, and her speech came back.
Despite this, Hailey decided to visit the hospital to ensure everything was okay. Scans revealed a small blood clot in her brain, which was classified as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). Further examination at the University of California, Los Angeles, discovered that she had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO).
Hailey explained that the blood clot had moved into her heart, escaped through the hole, and made its way to her brain, causing the TIA. After undergoing a successful PFO closure procedure, Hailey reported feeling fantastic.
In the same year as Hailey’s health scare, Justin also encountered a similar issue. Specifically, in June 2022, Justin Bieber announced his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which led to temporary paralysis in parts of his face and compelled him to halt the rest of his Justice World Tour. In an Instagram video, he explained that the virus attacking the nerve in his ear and facial nerves resulted in facial paralysis, as seen by his lack of blinking on one side, inability to smile from one side of his face, and immobility of one nostril. He also mentioned it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to eat, but eventually, the paralysis subsided. Initially examined by a doctor who administered a cortisone shot and sent him home, his sister Deidra Dixon then took him to another hospital where they discovered the cause: a brain bleed resulting in a stroke. She underwent immediate surgery to seal the aneurysm but described the pain as “unbearable.” During her recovery, she experienced aphasia and spoke incoherently. A week later, the aphasia subsided, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month. Unfortunately, due to other medical issues, Cori’s hospital stay extended beyond her initial expectations.
“I could have left the hospital after my stroke,” she explained in an interview with TopMob News‘ correspondent Will Marfuggi in December 2024. “However, my lupus wasn’t doing well and my kidneys were failing. There was a lot happening.”

Determined to find answers, Shailene—who has a background in holistic medicine and herbalism—decided to collaborate with both conventional medical professionals and independent healers. This quest for understanding took a decade.
During this lengthy journey, she grappled with more than just physical discomfort. “Big Little Lies” star explained that fear of food emerged due to stomach pain, leading to anxiety about eating. This fear then triggered mental struggles like body dysmorphia, confusion about identity, and a sense of insecurity regarding her own skin.
However, after addressing both her physical and mental health issues, Shailene reported feeling much improved today. She shared, “This journey ultimately resolved my physical health issues, and I am now very healthy.
