The Death of Robin Hood – TRAILER

So is The Death of Robin Hood trailer really the end?

Robin Hood has been reimagined countless times in movies and television – from big-budget epics like Prince of Thieves to comedic spoofs like Men in Tights, and even as a fox in a classic Disney film. While these versions all show him stealing from the wealthy to help the poor, the trailer for The Death of Robin Hood suggests a much darker and different take on the legendary hero.

The story….

The new movie shows Robin Hood as a man with a dark past, haunted by theft and violence. He’s given a chance to make things right when a mysterious woman nurses him back to health after a fierce fight.

The new film by Michael Sarnoski, the director of Pig and writer-director of A Quiet Place: Day One, offers a fresh take on the classic Robin Hood story. Starring Hugh Jackman, Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett, Noah Jupe, and Elijah Ungvary, the movie is scheduled for release in theaters in 2026.

What the director says about the legendary figure…..

Sarnoski recently described the character to Entertainment Weekly as a brutal criminal responsible for many awful acts – almost monstrous, really. However, the character has lived long enough to witness the legends surrounding him develop. He’s now grappling with how he feels about being seen as a hero, knowing full well the truth about his past.

Okay, so this movie really leaned into its Irish locations – it genuinely feels like a different world from anything you’d expect, definitely not your typical football stadium drama! As for when you can actually see it? They haven’t announced a release date yet, but I’ll keep you posted.
