The Deeply Personal Meaning Behind Audrey Nuna’s Grammys Look

Audrey Nuna is shinin’ like she’s born to be.

At the 2026 Grammys on February 1st, the actress from KPop Demon Hunters arrived with her HUNTR/X bandmates, EJAE and Rei Ami, and shared that her outfit was inspired by her family’s heritage.

Audrey revealed to Zuri Hall of Live From TopMob: Grammys that she was wearing a custom Thom Browne outfit. She explained the look was especially important to her, as she’s a proud child of immigrants.

Our family’s business is built on making clothes, and my grandfather actually started out by fulfilling orders for Thom Browne. It feels really special to be back working with them now – it’s come full circle.

The 26-year-old’s outfit featured a trendy, oversized blazer with unique asymmetrical sleeves, worn over a classic white collared shirt and tie. She finished the look with a ruffled skirt and white lace-up boots. (Check out all the red carpet looks here.)

It was particularly exciting when their popular song “Golden,” featured in a Netflix film, won the award for Best Song Written For Visual Media at the show, which was hosted by Trevor Noah.

Since its debut on Netflix in June with Kpop Demon Hunters, the song has become incredibly popular. It’s been nominated for several awards, including Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media. It has already won a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice Award, and is up for Best Original Song at the 2026 Oscars on March 15th.

EJAE, whose real name is Kim Eun-jae, felt confident the song would be successful almost immediately – the idea struck her while on her way to a dentist appointment.

She told The Music magazine that she was actually heading to the dentist to get a gold filling when the incident happened. She found it strangely fitting, saying, ‘Isn’t that insane? It was all meant to be.’

After she had the tune stuck in her head, she quickly went home and joined a Zoom call with songwriter Mark Sonnenblick.

Oh my gosh, you wouldn’t BELIEVE the process! EJAE said they definitely had to tweak things a lot, going back and forth endlessly. But the core idea, the thing that really grabs you? They nailed that so fast! It was amazing, honestly. They just knew what would work!

She remembered finishing the song and immediately wondering if they’d created something special. She and Mark were on Zoom and jokingly asked each other, ‘Did we just write a hit?’ because it sounded so promising.
