Blizzard recently released a blog post and a nostalgic video highlighting its game franchises, revealing a multi-part event planned for early 2026. Essentially, they’re announcing that more announcements are on the way! This seems to be connected to the hint dropped in February regarding something new for Diablo 4.
Blizzard is planning a series of presentations led by its developers to highlight popular games like World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Hearthstone, and Diablo. These showcases are also a celebration of Blizzard’s 35th anniversary and will give fans a look at what’s coming up this year, including the return of BlizzCon in September.
According to Blizzard president Johanna Faries, the company has many exciting announcements coming, and this showcase is just the first of many reveals planned for the year.
Where you can watch the Blizzard presentations

You can watch each presentation live on Blizzard’s YouTube and Twitch channels. Here’s the schedule:
- World of Warcraft State of Azeroth
29 January at 9am Pacific, 12pm Eastern, 5pm UK - Overwatch Spotlight
4 February at 10am Pacific, 1pm Eastern, 6pm UK - Hearthstone Spotlight
9 February at 9.30am Pacific, 12.30pm Eastern, 5.30pm UK - Diablo 30th Anniversary Spotlight
11 February at 2pm Pacific, 5pm Eastern, 10pm UK
Diablo fans will immediately recognize February 11th as a key date. Blizzard has hinted at a Diablo announcement coming in February, and this event fits that timeframe perfectly.
I’m not sure if we’ll see more details about the ‘Lord of Hatred’ expansion, a reveal of the second new class, or something else entirely, but it’s the date I’m most excited about.
I recently saw that Blizzard announced a showcase and also put out a really interesting video called “Blizzard: The Next Chapter.” It’s a look back at the company’s past, and they used around 400 actual items from their archives to tell the story.
As a long-time Blizzard fan, this video really gave me goosebumps. I’ve already watched it a bunch of times this morning, and it just made me feel nostalgic for the good old days!
More details on the showcase can be found on Blizzard’s official website.
