This is definitely the case with the “Big Three” shonen anime: Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. These shows are considered some of the most impactful and well-known series ever created.
The three anime series known as the Big Three are all fantastic and have their own strengths. Fans constantly argue about which one is the best, and it’s hard to say for sure. But even if we could compare them fairly, it’s difficult to pick a winner because two of the series are still unfinished – though that will be resolved this summer.

The anime adaptation of Bleach, which includes 366 episodes and 40 episodes of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, is nearing its conclusion. The final chapter, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 4 – The Calamity, will begin airing in July. This is a significant event for longtime fans who have followed Ichigo’s story since the early 2000s. While the manga ended in 2016, this final arc, Bleach: TYBW, will include new content and address criticisms of the original story. This concluding chapter is highly anticipated and will also offer an added bonus for viewers.
Now that the Bleach anime has finished, fans of action anime (known as shonen) are getting closer to answering a long-standing question: which of the three most popular series – Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece – has the strongest characters. Previously, Naruto was the only one with a complete story, making it hard to compare. With Bleach now finished, viewers can finally compare both Naruto and Bleach as full series. However, the debate won’t be fully settled until One Piece concludes, which is likely to be some time from now.
One Piece Still Needs to End Before We Can Say Which of the Big Three Is Truly the Best
With the conclusion of Bleach, fans are getting closer to fully assessing the “Big Three” shonen anime – Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto. However, a definitive ranking can’t happen until One Piece also finishes.
