The Eye-Popping Value of Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty Brand Revealed

Selena Gomez knows what’s good for business.

Selena Gomez became a billionaire in September 2024 thanks to the success of her cosmetics brand, Rare Beauty, which she launched in 2020. The brand’s sales have consistently increased since its debut.

Rare Beauty has remained profitable, increasing the company’s value to an estimated $2.7 billion, as reported by Fortune magazine.

It wasn’t clear the product line would succeed when it launched, and some people questioned whether Selena’s fame would actually drive sales. Selena recently shared that she faced initial hesitation when she first started working on the project.

Speaking at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, D.C. on October 15th, the 33-year-old explained that many people likely have fixed ideas about her strengths and what she should focus on. However, she stated her goal is to simply make a positive impact.

Even though her beauty brand, Rare Beauty, has become incredibly popular, Selena Gomez – who recently married music producer Benny Blanco in September – is still very involved in running the company and has dismissed talk that she was planning to sell her ownership.

“I’m not ready,” she said at the event. “I love what we do and I don’t want it to change.”

After all, Selena previously shared how personal the brand is to her.

She told Women’s Wear Daily in July that she pours her heart and soul into her work. She emphasized how hard she works and how much she values her fans and community, saying they’ve supported her through everything life has thrown her way.

Although the company’s success definitely helps Selena financially, she prefers not to discuss the specific financial details.

She told Entertainment Tonight in September 2024 that she doesn’t like discussing finances, but emphasized that her success is entirely due to her customers.
