A new Fantastic Four movie is coming to Disney+, kicking off a fresh storyline within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The recent film featuring Marvel’s First Family earned $522 million in theaters, making it the most successful in the franchise so far. However, despite being a success, the movie didn’t perform quite as well as expected.
Before it came out, many predicted the latest Marvel movie scheduled for 2025 could earn close to $1 billion, especially because it finally introduced the Fantastic Four. While all of Marvel’s 2025 films had some trouble at the box office, the reveal of details about The Fantastic Four: First Steps generated a lot of excitement, and its streaming release became a popular talking point.

After a lot of anticipation, Disney+ has announced the release date for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. You’ll be able to stream the Marvel movie starting November 5th. Before then, fans can watch it on demand or buy the physical copy on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. This film also marks the first appearance of Doctor Doom in the MCU.
With The Fantastic Four: First Steps hitting theaters on July 25th, it’s now available to stream on Disney+. This follows a similar release pattern as other 2025 Marvel Cinematic Universe films. For example, Captain America: Brave New World, starring Anthony Mackie, came out in theaters on February 14th and was added to Disney+ 103 days later. The Fantastic Four had the same 103-day wait between its theatrical release and its arrival on the streaming service.
No More MCU Releases Are Coming In 2025
Marvel Studios has adjusted its release schedule. Originally, Disney+’s Wonder Man was planned to debut in December, but Marvel decided to postpone it. They were concerned it would compete with holiday programming. Now, all eight episodes of the live-action Wonder Man series will premiere on January 27, 2026.
Following the initial announcement, Marvel fans were eagerly awaiting the Disney+ release date for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Now that Marvel has revealed when the series will stream, there are no further Marvel Cinematic Universe projects scheduled for release in 2025.
Disney+’s next offering is Wonder Man in January. After that, the next Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day starring Tom Holland, is scheduled for July 24, 2026. Though we might see trailers for the upcoming Spider-Man and Avengers films before the end of 2025, there are currently no other MCU projects planned for release on Disney+. This means The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be the last MCU content on Disney+ for the year.
