Camouflage is in for another season.
It’s confirmed! The popular Netflix show, “Hunting Wives” produced by Lionsgate, has been renewed by the streaming platform for a second season, according to various sources on September 12th.
According to Variety’s report, the second season of the show will be available for streaming globally (in almost all regions where Netflix operates) under the Netflix banner, featuring the original cast returning to their roles.
TopMob News has reached out to Netflix regarding the renewal news but has not yet heard back.
The forthcoming season will maintain a similar structure as the initial release, creating eight episodes and expanding on the universe of Mapleton, Texas, where the newcomer Sophie (Brittany Snow) grapples with the town’s traditional social environment guided by Margo (Malin Akerman).
Enthusiasts can breathe a sigh of relief as they learn about the show’s renewal, given that the season finale of ‘Hunting Wives’ left viewers on a cliffhanger: Sophie uncovered Margo as the one who murdered Abby Jackson (Madison Wolfe), the central character of the season. Moreover, in the last scene, Sophie accidentally kills Margo’s brother Kyle (Michael Aaron Milligan) in a hit-and-run accident, and Margo is aware of this fact.
Despite uncertainty about further seasons of “Hunting Wives” for a few months, Brittany and Malin hinted at upcoming episodes as early as this month.
Here’s an explanation,” Malin shared with TopMob News during the Video Music Awards on September 7th. “We’ve been getting lots of favorable responses from important figures.
Brittany highlighted the enthusiasm of the cast, which consisted of Chrissy Metz and Dermot Mulroney, when the adaptation of May Cobb’s novel received a positive response from Netflix viewers upon its release in July.
The former Pitch Perfect star noted that you can’t always predict when things will succeed or fail. This project, in particular, generated strong reactions since many either adored it or strongly disliked it.
