The Finals’ In-Game Energy Drink OSPUZE Just Became a Real Thing You Can Buy

Following the launch of The Finals Season 8 and the thrilling Stockholm Grand Major, player enthusiasm for the game is growing, and Embark Studios intends to keep the momentum going. They don’t want the excitement to fade away anytime soon. This suggests further updates and events are planned.

The Swedish studio recently revealed a partnership with the beverage company PXL to bring the fictional OSPUZE ‘Sour Core’ drink to life. Now, you can actually enjoy the drink that originally existed only in the virtual world.

For those who enjoy regularly updated first-person shooter games, OSPUZE is a key element of the online gameshow and its rich, evolving universe.

OSPUZE was the very first fictitious sponsor we developed for the universe of THE FINALS,” says Rob Runesson, co-founder of Embark Studios. He emphasizes how important the made-up brand was to the game’s concept from the beginning.

Runesson explains that being able to experience it firsthand – to see and taste it in the real world thanks to a partnership with a Swedish company – feels like a dream come true, a perfect blend of imagination and reality. He adds, “We’ve been getting requests to make this happen since the game first launched, and we’re all incredibly thrilled! The developers, the players, everyone!”

PXL, the Swedish company that made this drink, also cares about what people think. Mikael Hollsten, who started PXL, shared these thoughts about the partnership:

As a gamer, I’m seriously hyped about our partnership with Embark Studios! It feels like everything we’ve been working towards is finally paying off. We’re taking a chunk of a world people already love and letting players like you actually get your hands on it. It’s a dream come true, honestly! You can find out more about Embark Studios here.

PXL has used video games for marketing before. They’ve collaborated with other well-known gaming franchises, including Final Fantasy and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Just weeks after launching Season 8 of The Finals, a new update is now available! It includes fresh weapons, different versions of existing maps, new character customizations, and special events. These are being released now in all of the game’s beautiful arenas, ranging from historical locations like feudal Kyoto to high-tech cities such as SYS Horizon and Nozomi/Citadel.

Alongside the new Vertigo world tour event – which gives all players a double jump – a fresh map will be available starting October 2nd, courtesy of our in-game sponsor, Holtow Insurance.

We think The Finals is a surprisingly good game in a crowded market of shooting games, offering a unique and innovative experience. If that sounds appealing, you can download The Finals for free on PlayStation right now – and don’t forget to watch our gameplay video below!
