Before its launch next week, Silent Hill F received its first review score: a 36/40 from the Japanese magazine Famitsu. This is Famitsu’s highest score ever for a Silent Hill game, achieved through four reviewers each giving it a 9 out of 10. For comparison, the original Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2 both received 34/40, and last year’s Silent Hill 2 remake earned a 35/40.
According to ryokutya2089, the game stands out for its beautiful visuals and exciting combat. Players can expect around 12-13 hours of gameplay. However, the review also notes some frustrating aspects, like confusing controls and frequent issues with getting stuck in the environment.
Silent Hill F will be available on PlayStation 5 starting September 25, 2025. If you purchase the Deluxe Edition, you can begin playing two days earlier.
Developed by Neobards Entertainment and Konami, this game features a story by Ryukishi07 and music by Akira Yamaoka. The story is set in 1960s Japan, where a young woman named Shimizu Hinako finds her quiet town of Ebisugaoka engulfed in a mysterious fog, turning it into a terrifying place. As the town falls silent and the fog grows denser, Hinako must explore the warped streets of Ebisugaoka, solving difficult puzzles and battling frightening creatures to stay alive.
