How similar are you to Jason?
Very much alike situations. When I departed from home for my job, it brought back memories of that time for me. The moments where Jason returns remind me of my own return to Porthcawl. However, Jason has a more fashionable style than mine, so I was delighted when they allowed me to retain his closet.
Have you been known primarily for your roles in shows like “Sex Education” and “Harry Potter,” or do people often recognize you from the series “Gavin & Stacey” the most?
Generally, it’s only dedicated followers who recognize me without my glasses or beard, and even then, tanning isn’t typically part of my routine. However, with a beard, I stand out more easily.
Does everyone ask about that fishing trip with Uncle Bryn?
Why do you think the show has grown so much in popularity?
Isn’t it true, though? I’m astonished by the number of individuals claiming their kids adore it. Upon rewatching it with my daughter, I discovered that it’s surprisingly impolite. Families bicker, laugh, and reconcile. It reflects real life, don’t you think?
How did it feel knowing this was the finale?
It had an emotional touch, as I hadn’t expected it to continue after a decade. The final day was quite the ride. Upon hearing “cut,” there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.
