I first got into God of War way back on the PlayStation 2, and it blew me away! It was a huge hit for Santa Monica Studio and Sony right from the start. You played as Kratos, this incredibly powerful warrior, and the whole game was about him getting revenge on Ares by battling tons of undead soldiers and mythical creatures in ancient Greece. The original three games were massive for Sony, but honestly, the 2018 sequel really changed everything. They totally revamped the combat, and it made Kratos a much more relatable and toned-down character, which was awesome. It really brought the series back to life!
