Verdict on The Home
Recap
The film revolves around a man with troubles taking a last chance to change his fate. He finds himself working at a local nursing home, but soon uncovers a shocking truth hidden behind its walls.
Best Parts
This film excels at puzzling its viewers and presents a series of startling incidents that keep us guessing. It eventually delivers one of the more jaw-dropping twists. The message is poignant, but the ending, one of the most brutal this year in cinema. Generally, the acting is commendable, except for one performance that seems out of place throughout.
Worst Parts
The film often finds it challenging to make Pete Davidson’s leading performance appear authentic; he fails to convincingly portray fear like many other actors do in horror films. However, one could also argue that the screenplay includes excessive efforts to incorporate unexpected plot twists.
Final Thoughts –The Home is a twisted story, with a violent outcome.
