After years of speculation, it’s official: The Inbetweeners are returning for a new series.
Banijay UK and Fudge Park Productions, the company behind the popular show ‘The Inbetweeners’, have reached a deal that could bring the comedy back to screens.
We don’t yet know the full details, but Morris and Beesley have hinted that the show won’t be a complete restart with new characters. Instead, the original stars – Will, Simon, Jay, and Neil – will be back.
They announced they’re planning more adventures for their beloved group of four friends, expressing their excitement about it.

As a film critic, I’m excited to hear that the creators of *The Inbetweeners* have struck a new deal. Essentially, this means they now have the freedom to revisit that world and introduce it to a whole new generation – and they can do it however they like! We could be looking at a new movie, a TV revival, or even a stage show. It opens up a lot of possibilities, and as a fan, I’m definitely intrigued to see what they come up with.
Jonathan Blyth, head of Fudge Park, announced a new partnership with Banijay, stating they both share a vision for the future of a beloved British comedy. He added that this is great news for fans and that more details will be revealed soon.
Patrick Holland, CEO of Banijay UK, shared that he’s enjoyed collaborating with Damon and Iain on various Fudge Park projects and was thrilled to discuss the potential future of The Inbetweeners with them.
Their creative ideas for the brand are really exciting and I think they’ll appeal to both existing and new customers, so I’m eager to start working with them.
The Inbetweeners first aired as a TV show for three seasons, from 2008 to 2010, and was later continued with two movies released in 2011 and 2014. The main actors were Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley, and Blake Harrison.
Thomas mentioned last year that the band had discussed getting back together in different ways, and that everyone involved was interested in the idea.
Despite speculation, Bird firmly stated that a reunion will not happen, emphasizing, “There’s absolutely no chance of us getting back together.”
The cast would love to do it, but it really depends on the writers, Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, and they’re both quite busy right now. Unfortunately, it’s no more likely to happen now than it was a decade ago.
Now that Morris and Beesley have joined the team, things look different, and it’s possible all four of them will play again.
