So far, the creators of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series, Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, are involved in the new movie. They’re working through Avatar Studios—the same team developing the Avatar: Seven Havens sequel series—along with Paramount and Nickelodeon Movies. The movie will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+, and it looks like future Avatar Studios projects will follow this streaming-only approach.
The upcoming live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender will have a new cast voicing the now-adult versions of the beloved characters. Eric Nam will voice Aang, and Steven Yeun will voice Zuko. The cast also includes Dave Bautista, Jessica Matten, Dionne Quan, Román Zaragoza, Taika Waititi, Geraldine Viswanathan, Dee Bradley Baker, Peta Sergeant, Freida Pinto, and Ke Huy Quan, though their specific roles haven’t been announced yet.
