In a recent announcement post by Nintendo, it has been confirmed that the live-action movie adaptation of The Legend of Zelda will feature Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason in the lead roles as Link and Princess Zelda respectively. The director, Wes Ball (known for his work on The Maze Runner), is at the helm of this upcoming film. Shigeru Miyamoto himself disclosed these selections. Actor Benjamin Evan Ainsworth has previously appeared in Netflix’s The Sandman and Disney’s live-action Pinocchio, while Bo Bragason starred in King and Conqueror. A photo of the two young actors (see below) suggests that they are well-suited for their roles as they both bear a striking resemblance to Link and Zelda from video game history.
Miyamoto here! Exciting news about the live-action movie adaptation of The Legend of Zelda: Bo Bragason will portray Zelda, while Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will play Link. I can hardly wait to see them in action on the big screen! (1/2)
