Fans of Glastonbury were left astounded as The Libertines performed at the festival on Sunday, but they did express a significant concern.
On the Pyramid stage, the band, featuring Carl Barât and Pete Doherty, delivered their performance under the intense sunlight beating down on Worthy Farm.
Their slot was just ahead of Sir Rod Stewart’s highly anticipated set on the main stage.
Addressing the crowd, Doherty stated: “I understand why some of you arrived early, I’m aware of what you’re all anticipating.
Although spectators found it difficult to criticize their on-screen performance, those viewing the event from the famous festival location felt frustrated about a single matter.
On social media, they criticized the crowd for appearing low on energy, stating that the rock band deserved a more enthusiastic audience.

Not holding back, one blasted: ‘The Libertines deserve better than this f****** Rod Stewart crowd.’
A spectator remarked: “The energy at The Libertines concert was more subdued than some funerals I’ve attended. It’s not the band’s fault, though; it’s simply an unfortunate atmosphere.
A disgruntled fan commented, “The Libertines’ playlist is top-notch, but it seems underappreciated here.
Viewers tuning into Glastonbury at home via BBC iPlayer praised The Libertines’ vocals and setlist.
One enthusiastic listener commented: “The Libertines are a treasure trove of fantastic songs. Time seemed to fly during that hour.
Another person was incredibly envious, seeing The Libertines crush the Pyramid Stage at this moment.
As I took to the stage following our performance, I stumbled upon an embarrassing slip-up when presenting Lulu during my set at Glastonbury’s Legend’s spot on the Pyramid Stage. Rod Stewart was the one who experienced this rather awkward moment introducing Lulu.
As an ardent fan on the scene at Worthy Farm, I had the privilege of witnessing a legendary singer, age 80 and still captivating, who graced the stage. The energy was electrifying as he surprised the crowd by inviting three extraordinary artists to join him.

Initially, Rod had envisioned a smoother introduction, but Lulu’s entry turned out differently from his expectations when he presented Ronnie Rood and then Lulu.
He announced enthusiastically, “It’s a true delight for me to introduce two legendary figures! First up, let me present Ronnie Wood. Please join me in showing appreciation as I welcome him!
As the stage fell silent, Rod looked around awkwardly for Lulu as she didn’t join him on stage.
He then added: ‘Oh yeah, Lulu is coming on next’, causing the crowd to laugh at the mistake.
In my perspective as a lifestyle expert, I enthusiastically began my performance with the crowd-favorite “Tonight I’m Yours,” setting the stage for an unforgettable night. Then, I shared the heartwarming sentiment that music serves as our universal bond, and we were all there to celebrate this connection by dancing the night away in what turned out to be a lively “Having A Party.

Following the performance of “Some Guys Have All The Luck”, he paused to gather himself amidst the sweltering heat, took off his glittering coat, and expressed to the audience, “What a delightful moment! I’m overflowing with excitement, I can barely catch my breath!
Drawing songs from his collection, he performed a rendition of “First Cut Is The Deepest” and then moved on to play “Tonight’s The Night (Gonna Be Alright)”, a track from 1976.
On Sunday at Worthy Farm, some famous faces were seen, among them Paul Mescal from “Normal People.” He was caught sharing affectionate moments with his girlfriend, Gracie Abrams.
Meanwhile, Holly Willoughby was also spotted enjoying the sunshine, with her husband Dan Baldwin.
