The most anticipated Everdark Sovereigns are coming to Elden Ring Nightreign in just two weeks, and I hope it’ll hurt

As a gamer excitedly counting down the days, I can’t hide my enthusiasm! In just two weeks, Elden Ring Nightreign will see the arrival of the Everdark Sovereigns. These aren’t just any opponents; they are Everdark versions of Tricephalos, Augur, Fissure in the Fog, and Equilibrious Beast. I can hardly wait to test my mettle against them!

On July 31, 2025, the veil between worlds grows thin, and darkness continues to crave. Prepare for the start of a new Everdark era – the Nightlords with amplified abilities are ready to release their darkest forces over Limveld.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Libra seems destined to become more troublesome than ever before, yet I find myself secretly wishing that Augur will undergo a transformation into something formidable. In its current state, Augur is the most effortless Nightlord – the combat slows down, the soundtrack calms, and even its deadliest attack can be evaded by simply running away. However, I crave challenge, not ease. I yearn for Everdark Augur to significantly increase its speed and become truly aggressive. I acknowledge that this desire may lead to regret in the future, but for now, I am resolved to embrace it.

For those who have been yearning for something more thrilling than the Bell Bearing Hunter, the recent revival of Everdarks by FromSoft is exciting news! Just a week ago, they announced the reappearance of past Everdark bosses such as Fulghor, Sentient Pest, and Gapping Jaw. This decision came after players swiftly conquered these bosses, but the developers needed extra time to perfect the upcoming ones.

Although some players, including myself, find joy in revisiting existing gameplay, a significant portion has ceased playing Nightreign due to its lack of varied content and are uninterested in the repetitive updates. One such player expressed their dissatisfaction by stating, “I have no interest left in Nightreign; I’m not returning for these dull updates.

Among the gaming community, there has been a debate about whether FromSoftware has released enough additional content since the launch of Nightreign. However, Director Junya Ishizaki clarified this issue early on, stating that Nightreign is not considered a live service game, meaning it won’t receive significant post-release updates and patches. Nevertheless, FromSoftware has guaranteed the delivery of new content and even a DLC that will introduce new bosses and Nightfarers.

So far, I’ve clocked 130 hours in Nightreign, and I’m still finding it engaging even after completing all Remembrance quests and vanquishing every Nightlord. However, I find myself seeking out fresh challenges now because I’ve reached a stage where the gameplay needs some spice. This morning, I stumbled upon a bug that inadvertently multiplies bosses, which got me thinking about how exciting it could be. Given this, the upcoming Everdark bosses seem perfectly timed for me.
