Ubisoft has unexpectedly unveiled that their 2023 game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, will get a free DLC addition, taking players to AlUla, Saudi Arabia. This exciting news was spread during the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, after rumors about Savvy Games, a company financially supported by Saudi funds, providing financing for this expansion.
In public announcements, Ubisoft has shared an exciting update for Assassin’s Creed Mirage fans: “Later this year, we have a fantastic surprise in store for you!” This surprise includes a fresh story chapter, new missions, and a brand-new playable region modeled after 9th-century AlUla.
Currently immersed in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the French publisher unexpectedly unveils additional content for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Remarkably, this new content includes enhancements to the core gameplay for improved gameplay experience, extending to a fresh location. This update is scheduled for release next month on PS5 alongside its first expansion.
Early this year, French publication Les Echoes reported a potential partnership between Ubisoft and Saudi Arabia. Initially, Ubisoft intended Assassin’s Creed Mirage to be a standalone game without extra content. However, it appears that the funding for additional downloadable content (DLC) might now come from Saudi Arabia, following meetings between the parties. Now we can confirm that an expansion for the game will take place in Saudi Arabia.
