Beyond Words is a unique word game that blends strategy and roguelike elements. It’s created by Steve Ellis and David Doak, the talented developers behind classic shooters like GoldenEye 007 and TimeSplitters.
Beyond Words, launching on PS5 in early 2026, is a unique game that blends the word-building of Scrabble with the deck-building strategy of Balatro.

Each level offers unique challenges, and you’ll also find tough bosses to defeat. Plus, there are different ways to play, like runs with set conditions, timed challenges, and even challenges where you try to get the lowest score.
Published by PQube and created by the newly formed Mindfuel Games, this game appears to be a perfect fit for word game enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys seeing numbers increase.
