The popular spy thriller, The Night Manager, is coming back to BBC One and iPlayer next year, and promises an exciting start.
Tom Hiddleston, known for playing Loki, will reprise his role as Jonathan Pine. He’s living under the alias Alex Goodwin, working as a discreet surveillance officer for MI6 in London, and we’ll see him reconnect with his past.
Pine’s peaceful existence is shattered when he unexpectedly spots a former Roper mercenary, which quickly throws him into a dangerous conflict with someone new.
The trailer features Diego Calva, known for his role in Babylon, as Teddy Dos Santos, a Colombian businessman. He appears alongside Camila Morrone (from Daisy Jones & The Six), who plays Roxana Bolaños, an ally of the main character, Pine.
The second season of The Night Manager will debut on BBC One and iPlayer on New Year’s Day, January 1st, 2026. Viewers outside the UK will be able to watch it on Prime Video starting January 11th.

The story follows Pine as he teams up with Roxana Bolaños (Camila Morrone), a businesswoman who cautiously agrees to help him investigate Teddy’s illegal arms dealing in Colombia. Once there, Pine finds himself caught in a dangerous scheme to supply weapons and train a rebel army.
With loyalties shifting and fracturing, Pine is in a desperate race to uncover a plot to throw the country into chaos. Surrounded by betrayal, he needs to figure out who he can trust and how much he’s willing to risk before time runs out.
Okay, so I’m really excited for season two of The Night Manager. Besides Tom Hiddleston, Edgar Ramirez, and Anya Taylor-Joy coming back, we’re also getting Olivia Colman – yes, the Oscar winner! – reprising her role as Angela Burr. And that’s not all! Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe are all returning too, which just means even more great performances to look forward to.
The Night Manager season 2 premieres on BBC One and iPlayer on New Year’s Day.
