Given that Obsidian Entertainment’s “The Outer Worlds 2” is slated as Microsoft’s major release this fall, it’s logical to anticipate a showing at Gamescom. However, it appears Xbox is planning something special for the sci-fi role-playing game with an “exclusive” theater presentation instead.
The “guided tour” is set to explore the military-controlled Protectorate’s lands, featuring the Matriarch’s Tomb. This grand establishment, known as a place where history, loyalty, and propaganda are intricately blended, will reveal a society that values security over freedom and exhibits an eerie devotion towards its founders.
The release date for ‘The Outer Worlds 2’ is set for October 29th, and it will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. On launch day, Game Pass subscribers can play it. The game stirred up controversy in June when Microsoft announced a price of $79.99, but the publisher later decided to reduce it to $69.99, with this same price confirmed for their upcoming holiday releases.
I regret to inform you that Ninja Gaiden 4, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Grounded 2, Cronos: The New Dawn, and Hollow Knight: Silksong won’t be available for play at the Xbox booth during Gamescom. However, attendees can still enjoy these games! Keep an eye out for more information and updates as Gamescom is scheduled from August 20th to 24th.
