Now that reviews are out for The Outer Worlds 2, Obsidian Entertainment is starting the process of getting ready for launch. A new trailer shows off the Arcadia system and poses a key question: will you play the hero, compromise your beliefs, or forge your own path?
No matter how you approach the game, the journey itself will be complex. You play as an agent of the Earth Directorate, tasked with investigating strange rifts appearing across the universe. This mission will bring you into conflict with three different groups – Auntie’s Choice, the Order of the Ascendancy, and the Protectorate – each with their own agendas and rivalries.
You can choose to befriend one person or antagonize everyone, and how you do it is up to you – you might be sneaky, aggressive, diplomatic, or combine those approaches. This freedom is made possible by a revamped skill system, over 90 Perks, a new group of companions, and plenty of different weapons.
The highly anticipated game, The Outer Worlds 2, will be available starting October 29th on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It will also be included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions. You can read our review of the game here.
