The Pitt Fans Spot Major Continuity Error in Season 2 Premiere

The Pitt fans wasted no time reading between the lines in the show’s season two premiere.

When Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball) returned to the ER after taking time to deal with a substance abuse issue, viewers noticed some discrepancies regarding whether or not he was wearing a wedding ring. The show also stars Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa.

Okay, so I was obsessively watching, and it’s a small thing, I know, but it totally threw me! Langdon always wears that ring, right? He had it on after they cleaned him up, which was good, but then… when he walked into the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, it was gone! I swear, I rewound the footage like five times. It’s probably nothing, but as a dedicated fan, I noticed immediately. It’s just… unsettling that he wasn’t wearing it!

A fan noticed something unusual in a screenshot: Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, opened his locker using his left hand, leading them to comment on social media, “Where’s the ring?”

Someone else on X pointed out a continuity error with Langdon’s ring, jokingly threatening to lose their mind over the wardrobe department’s mistake.

Some viewers thought the detail wasn’t a mistake. One pointed out that Ball had been seen opening his locker with his right hand before, making the fact that his ring finger was visible in the scene stand out.

One X user noticed a small detail in the show: Langdon uses his right hand to open his locker in season one, but switches to his left hand in season two. The user also pointed out that a specific camera angle draws attention to the fact that he isn’t wearing a ring.

As a huge fan, I’ve been seeing everyone obsess over Langdon’s ring, and it’s got me wondering if we’ll finally see something happen between Langdon and Dr. Melissa King – Taylor Dearden plays her, and they have such great chemistry! I’m really hoping this season explores a possible romance between them.

One fan on X commented that seeing Langdon’s wedding ring during his greeting with Mel was distracting, joking that Mel was going after a married man.

Even though fans are excited about a potential romance, the actress Dearden said she doesn’t necessarily want her character to develop feelings for her boss.

Taylor shared with US Weekly last February that she believes Mel is asexual. She explained that Mel tends to be very focused and professional, particularly in work settings, and doesn’t seem to consider romantic or sexual connections in those contexts.

Honestly, I was also a little thrown by the way they were trying to make those two characters a couple! The actor who played him, Michael Ball, even said he was really playing it more like a brother-sister relationship, which is how I saw it too.

He told US Weekly last April that he believed they had that kind of connection, so it felt odd when people started trying to pair them up romantically.

During one part of the show, Lucas Scott, played by Chad Michael Murray, is driving with his father, Dan Scott, played by Paul Johansson, when Michael Copon’s character, Felix Taggaro, dares Lucas to race.

There’s a very quick scene in the car with the Scotts where the actors are briefly swapped with stunt performers. Once you notice it, it’s hard to look away!

Towards the end of the film, after single mom Tess and her teenage daughter Anna magically switch bodies, a parallel situation unfolds with Anna’s younger brother Harry and their grandfather. They get into an argument, and it’s implied they’ll experience a similar kind of fate or understanding.

However, before either of them can fall, they’re both brought down. Interestingly, the actor playing Harry in this particular scene isn’t the same young actor we’ve seen throughout the film—it’s actually a grown-up stunt performer.

Viewers noticed several strange figures in the background during a scene featuring Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) crossing a snowy bridge on the February 19th episode of the HBO series.

One viewer called the episode “brilliant” but pointed out a small error: the film crew is visible in one shot and suggested it be fixed and re-uploaded.

In season 9, episode 15 of “The One With The Mugging,” a quick shot shows Joey (played by Matt LeBlanc) with someone who appears to be Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) in the background. However, it’s actually her stand-in, and only half of her face is visible behind Joey.

During the ninth season’s fourth episode, “The One With The Sharks,” a fan spotted something interesting: a stand-in for Jennifer Aniston appearing in the final version of the show. Around 12 and a half minutes in, you can see a curly-haired actress resembling Rachel at the kitchen table wearing yellow. When the camera returns to the table, a different actress with straight hair, wearing blue, has replaced her.

In the third season of the popular Netflix show, Drew Starkey’s character, Rafe, and Madison Bailey’s Kie are shown fleeing from Vaux Hall. However, the scene unexpectedly switches to show two men portraying them—one of whom is significantly older than the actor who usually plays the part.

The show included scenes with Jonathan Daviss’s Pope and Carlacia Grant’s Cleo on a motorcycle, but viewers noticed the stunt double for Pope had a different hairstyle than Daviss. A similar situation occurred with Kie and Rudy Pankow’s JJ riding a bike – Pankow’s hair color didn’t match in that scene.

In the 2000 movie based on the Dr. Seuss book How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the Grinch’s eye color noticeably changes. For most of the film, they’re a yellowish green, but they briefly turn brown to match Jim Carrey’s natural eye color before returning to green.

As a huge Grinch fan, I’ve noticed something funny every time I watch it. There’s this one little goof where they seem to forget to put Jim Carrey’s contacts in, or maybe they just didn’t fix it in editing. Either way, you can clearly see his real brown eyes instead of the Grinch’s green ones! It’s a small thing, but I always spot it.

In the fifth episode of season three of The Bear, viewers briefly see Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) wearing his wedding ring. But after a quick scene change, the ring is gone.

One viewer pointed out a mistake in the show on X (formerly Twitter): the main character sometimes wore a wedding ring, and other times he didn’t, even within the same scene.

TikTok users spotted a mistake in an old episode of Gossip Girl (which originally ran from 2007 to 2012). In the scene, the character Serena van der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively, is beautifully dressed from the waist up, but it seems something is off.

But as the camera pulls back, it’s clear she’s actually wearing sweatpants over her dress, and they sit low on her legs, below her knees.

One TikTok user praised Gossip Girl for its authenticity, noting that the actors were often seen wearing comfortable clothes like sweatpants and Ugg boots even when not on camera.

Soon after the Sarah Jessica Parker sitcom became available on Netflix in 2024, a TikTok user noticed a mistake in the third episode.

Oh my god, you will NOT believe this! I’ve rewatched this scene a million times, and it still gets me. Samantha – Kim Cattrall, obviously, she’s perfection – starts getting ready in this amazing green halter dress, super low-cut, as she’s about to go to a party with Carrie and Charlotte. But then, the second they open the door? It’s BLUE! Like, magically, the dress changes color! It’s a tiny detail, but it drives me crazy trying to figure out how they did it. I swear, it’s the most fascinating thing ever!

People who enjoyed the 2008 vampire film with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are still finding humor in its mistakes and imperfections.

If you look closely, you can spot the film crew reflected in the window of Edward’s car during a driving scene. There’s also a small mistake where his character closes the car trunk twice within the same scene.

There are also occasions in which the leading lady was subject to a few inaccuracies herself.

While Bella was recovering in the hospital after her fight with James and Edward, a few things kept subtly changing in the scene. Her oxygen tube kept slipping around on her face, even briefly covering her eye. Also, a lamp on the table next to where Edward was sitting seemed to move to different spots.

Before the season 48 finale of the reality competition series – featuring Joe Hunter, Eva Erickson, Kyle Fraser, Kamilla Karthigesu, and Mitch Guerra as the final contenders – many viewers thought CBS mistakenly revealed the winner in a preview clip.

In one clip, Mitch seemed to be walking among a few members of the ousted jury members.

Okay, seriously, I was scrolling TikTok and someone zoomed in on that new promo, and it’s SO Mitch! Like, we all kinda guessed, but the fact that they just showed it?! It’s insane! They literally spoiled the biggest plot point in the promo itself! I’m both thrilled and horrified, honestly. How could they?!

Viewers also noticed a potential spoiler involving Kamilla: she was shown wearing an immunity necklace, suggesting she’s one of the final three players competing for the million-dollar prize.

One user posted on X on May 19th that the show’s outcome matched their predictions, but expressed some frustration with the show overall. They were relieved, however, to not know which challenge Kamilla won immunity in.

Viewers started to raise concerns about how the show was edited during its seventh season on Peacock.

A TikTok user noticed something interesting in a clip from the show: Islander Clarke Carraway was first seen wearing a black bikini while relaxing at the villa. Shortly after, the cameras showed her in a brown one-piece swimsuit, leading viewers to believe the two scenes were filmed at different times.

Viewers also spotted a continuity error during a conversation between TJ Palma and Vanna Einerson – the orange glass Vanna was drinking from briefly changed to teal.

“I just wanna know,” a user commented on TikTok, “what’s happening in between.”

Call it a commemoration?

The 2021 Netflix film directed by Adam McKay quickly became a hit, reaching No. 1 worldwide within days of its late December release. However, it also sparked some discussion for an unexpected reason. A viewer noticed a brief shot of a masked film crew, leading fans to believe it was a mistake. But director Adam McKay explained that the shot was intentionally included to reflect the challenges of filming during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adam explained in a December tweet that they intentionally included a brief shot of the film crew as a way to remember the unusual experience of making the movie, and he included the hashtag #Don’tLookUp.

Even though it didn’t win, the movie was still recognized with an Oscar nomination for Best Editing, which is a positive outcome. We’ll definitely be careful not to get dizzy when we watch it again!

After over twenty years since the first Harry Potter movie came out, the special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts premiered on HBO Max in January 2022. Given how long fans had waited for this reunion, it’s no surprise they watched every moment.

Almost immediately, a viewer spotted a mistake at the start of the special: a photo meant to be of Emma Watson (known for playing Hermione Granger) was actually a picture of Emma Roberts.

Following the mistake circulating on social media, the producers of the reunion special acknowledged the error in a statement to TopMob News. They thanked fans for pointing out that a photo had been incorrectly labeled and confirmed a corrected version was now available.

Another mistake was found in the Harry Potter reunion special after it was released, but it’s easy to see how it happened – it involved twins who look exactly alike!

Oliver Phelps, known for playing George Weasley in the Harry Potter films, has pointed out that the recent HBO Max special incorrectly labeled him as his twin brother, James Phelps.

He joked on Instagram that someone finally got him back for all the pranks he’d pulled over the years, sharing a screenshot of the error. Despite the mishap, he said he had a great time at the Harry Potter reunion and hoped everyone else did too.

Tom Felton, known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, jokingly took responsibility for the mistake, commenting, “It was my doing. #weaslebee #returntohogwarts.”

During the fourth season of the popular HBO show, Game of Thrones, viewers were shocked to see a modern Starbucks cup appear alongside the traditional medieval silverware.

After a coffee cup unexpectedly appeared in an episode of Game of Thrones in 2019, HBO addressed the error. They stated the latte was a mistake, and playfully suggested that Emilia Clarke’s character, Daenerys Targaryen, had actually ordered an herbal tea.

Alas, if you’re looking for it now, the cup has been edited out from the episode.

The 1995 movie Braveheart, which takes place in the late 1200s, tells the story of Sir William Wallace (played by Mel Gibson) and his role in the first Scottish war for independence. Viewers were surprised to spot something anachronistic in one scene: a modern white car parked in the background, despite cars not being invented until centuries later.

As a longtime fan, I have to say, even though it was just a fleeting moment – less than two seconds, really – that one shot instantly clarified everything for me. It showed us, without a doubt, the actual time period the show was being filmed in. It was a subtle but brilliant reveal!

The early 2000s also saw the success of Gladiator, a film taking place in 180 AD. It’s no surprise then that the actors were mostly seen in costumes appropriate for that era – either battle gear or period clothing.

Fans spotted something odd in a scene set in the Colosseum: a man wearing a simple white T-shirt and jeans—clothing that definitely wouldn’t have existed in ancient Rome.

The 2019 film, adapted from the 1981 stage show, generated a lot of buzz thanks to its impressive cast, including Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, Judi Dench, and James Corden. People were eager to see—and hear—it!

Despite its anticipation, the movie received negative reviews, with critics specifically mentioning problems with the visual effects and editing. A particularly noticeable error occurred when viewers spotted a very realistic human hand briefly visible on Judi’s digitally created cat body. Following the initial release, director Tom Hooper quickly updated the film to address these issues, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

In the 2002 film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Karl Urban plays the character Éomer. However, observant fans noticed a brief moment near the end where it’s actually his stunt double riding the horse instead of Karl himself.

In a director’s commentary, as reported by WhatCulture, Peter Jackson revealed they simply ran out of time to digitally replace the actor’s face before the film was released.

Eagle-eyed viewers have spotted a funny mistake in season three, episode three of Emily in Paris. When Madeline (Kate Walsh) tells Emily (Lily Collins) she needs to go back to Chicago, Emily looks out the window… and there are two Eiffel Towers visible! The famous landmark briefly appears on the left side of the shot, then quickly pops up again outside the window on the right. It’s a pretty noticeable error!

On season five of the Netflix show, Christine Quinn made a striking entrance to Chelsea Lazkani’s party in a bright pink dress and a pale blue headpiece. Almost immediately, she swapped it for a large, matching pink hat, definitely grabbing everyone’s attention!

One viewer jokingly pointed out on X that Christine’s hat seemed to change during a scene, while another criticized the show’s continuity editing, calling it poor.
