While a lot of the doctors from the first season returned, it seems they’re going in a different direction with her character, and honestly, with everything they’ve hinted at, I have a feeling something huge is about to happen, so maybe her absence is tied to that!

Following the premiere of The Pitt Season 2, Episode 1, “7:00 A.M.,” fans noticed Dr. Walsh was absent and shared their disappointment on Reddit. Actress Tedra Millan confirmed on Instagram that Dr. Walsh won’t be appearing in any of the season’s 15 episodes. Although many viewers enjoyed her character and were hoping to see her return, her absence makes sense. As a night shift doctor, she wouldn’t naturally work alongside Dr. Robby’s team. Her role in Season 1 was specifically tied to the hospital needing extra staff during the intense Pittfest shooting storyline.

If Dr. Walsh returned for a second season of The Pitt, the show would need a good explanation for why she’s back on the day shift. While her skills are certainly valuable given the constant stream of serious cases at the hospital, repeating that storyline wouldn’t be very interesting.
