The Revenge Club ending explained: Who is the twisted killer among the group?

The Revenge Club began as a support group for people going through divorces. But Rachel, Emily, Mina, Calum, Steven, and Tej found a more exciting way to deal with their heartbreak: they decided to get even with the exes who had hurt them.

Creating fake images or videos can be amusing, like pretending to have a crazy night out or playing a harmless prank on someone. However, using this technology to depict something violent, like murder, is extremely dangerous and crosses a serious line.

As Emily and Calum fell in love and their friends became closer, someone was secretly plotting revenge, and it tragically turned violent.

The number of victims quickly began to rise. The first was Jack, Rachel’s husband – a controlling and manipulative man who presented himself as a successful businessman, though Rachel hadn’t officially filed for divorce yet.

Jack was found dead in his swimming pool after a party, and the drugs and alcohol in his system suggested an accidental death. However, things changed when Emily’s husband, Dan, was discovered dead at the bottom of the stairs with a severe head injury soon after.

With two people now found connected to the club, and police discovering some members were at the party where Dan died, suspicions started to increase.

Everything fell apart when Steven’s wife, Sue, died after being stung by wasps inside her car. It was a shocking and terrible way to die.

To make matters worse, Rita—who joined the club hoping to connect with its leader, Malcolm, after learning he was the son she gave up for adoption years ago—is now in a life-or-death situation. She was attacked at the recreation center where the group regularly meets.

The Revenge Club Ending Explained: Who is behind the deadly acts?

Emily is terrified and doesn’t know who she can trust, especially after seeing Steven leave the recreation center with blood on his hands. She and Calum escape to an old family fishing cabin in the woods, deciding to abandon everyone else and depend solely on each other for survival.

Police are searching for Steven, a former soldier, and suspect him of being responsible. The discovery of a gun case and ammunition in his trailer, combined with the fact that he was kicked out of the Army for killing his superior officer, has heightened their suspicions.

Tej and Rachel retreat to Rachel’s house, hoping for some privacy and to escape the chaos of Steven’s escape. However, their quiet time is interrupted when Steven unexpectedly breaks in, insisting on talking to them.

He strongly denies any involvement in the murder, explaining that he fled after discovering Rita’s body because he feared he was being set up. Despite his claims, the investigators weren’t convinced at first. However, he eventually persuaded them when he revealed a past incident from his time in the Army. He explained that after an IED blast, his commanding officer wrongly accused a 19-year-old soldier of being a spy. Instead of letting the officer harm the young soldier, Steven intervened and disarmed him, saving the teenager’s life.

Finding out Rita was alive, even though she was in a coma, brought him immense relief. Rachel and Taj, believing him, decided to help him clear his name.

After Taj locates Emily’s phone near a service station along the way to the woods, they suspect she’s there and rush to find her.

How does The Revenge Club end?

While at the cabin, Emily notices Calum is behaving oddly, repeatedly trying to get her to discuss finding Rita and constantly telling her how much he loves her.

Following a fight, he angrily went into the woods with an axe. Emily later calmed him down, and when he came back, she told him she loved him as well.

In a moment of fear, she struck Calum with a spade and ran, but he pursued her into the woods. She stumbled and fell, and he held her down, trying to get her to listen. However, Steven intervened, shooting Calum and rescuing her right as the police arrived.

Steven was arrested right away, even though Rachel and Taj insisted he hadn’t done anything wrong, and Emily was too shocked to speak. Taj tried to explain that Steven had saved her, but Steven pointed out that they had helped him first, implying he accepted his arrest if it meant everyone was safe.

When the police arrived to find Calum, he was nowhere to be seen, and it appeared he had gone into the lake – the same one he was suspected of being connected to his ex-girlfriend’s death.

After two months, detectives are preparing to close the case, but Calum remains missing, even with a nationwide search. However, some evidence doesn’t quite fit together, leaving doubts about whether everything adds up.

Emily unexpectedly meets Malcolm just as she’s leaving town. He updates her on Rita’s recovery and shares his hope for a future relationship with her, now that he’s discovered she’s his mother. During their conversation, the full story finally comes to light.

While Emily thanks him for leading the support group and helping her cope with her loss, we see flashbacks revealing she was the murderer all along. She drugged Jack with ketamine at a party and let him drown, and she also intentionally pushed her former boyfriend, Dan, down the stairs.

When Steven’s ex-girlfriend, Sue, attempted to reconcile with him to get a share of his late father’s £2 million inheritance, he killed her using a wasp trap. Sadly, Rita was accidentally harmed while trying to swap Steven’s keys.

Even after being shot, Calum seems to be part of the plan. When Emily meets with him, she reflects on their deep connection, explaining that it’s about finding someone who accepts you completely, flaws and all, without wanting you to change – and that’s what makes it genuine.

Reunited, the pair head off on their new life together.
