The classic game reminiscent of Persona, known as Demonschool, has been postponed by over two months, primarily due to Hollow Knight: Silksong’s announced release date of September 4, 2025. Originally planned for release a day before Silksong, Demonschool is now scheduled to launch on November 19th instead, in order to steer clear of the latter’s debut.
As a passionate member of the Ysbryd Games team working on Demonschool, I’m thrilled to share our focus: ensuring Demonschool gets the spotlight it deserves. To achieve this, we’ve decided not to compete with other releases during the blood-red waters of September, which seems like Silksong’s time to shine. Instead, we aim to carve out a unique moment for Demonschool on a different part of the calendar, where it can truly make its mark and generate meaningful conversations among gamers.
As an enthusiastic fan, I was eagerly anticipating the launch on September 3rd, but after some heartfelt contemplation, the studio felt it necessary to postpone the release due to unforeseen circumstances, specifically the sudden announcement of Hollow Knight: Silksong’s release date.
Hey there fellow gamers! Due to a slight setback in our schedule, we’ve found ourselves with some unexpected bonus time. Guess what we’re going to do with it? We’re diving right back into the game development process to polish things up even more and bring you some awesome post-launch content that we had originally intended for the main game itself. You can expect some exciting new endings, as well as a few fun minigames! Can’t wait for you to experience all the additional awesomeness we’ve got in store!
The game Demon School is structured to feel reminiscent of a classic Persona title, where you’ll engage in battles against strange beings traversing the boundary between our world and the demon realm, all while managing college life on a mystical island, alongside your unconventional group of friends led by Faye.
The game is set to debut on both PS5 and PS4 on November 19th, with no further delays expected after this date, as confirmed by the official press release.
