As a huge Simpsons fan, I absolutely *live* for the Treehouse of Horror episodes every year! It just wouldn’t feel like Halloween without them playfully poking fun at all the scary movies and shows we love. And this year’s 36th installment looks amazing! We’re already getting a sneak peek at Homer, Bart, Lisa, and the whole gang getting into some seriously crazy situations, and it looks like Springfield itself is getting a spooky makeover to really get us in the Halloween spirit. I can’t wait!
I’m so excited for *The Simpsons’ Treehouse of Horror XXXVI*! It looks like they’re having fun with some awesome movies this year – I’m getting major *The Stuff*, *Mad Max: Fury Road*, and *Late Night With the Devil* vibes! And get this – the new poster shows the whole Simpson family as action figures! The show’s always been great at reinventing itself with crazy new animation styles for these Halloween specials, and I’m really curious to see what kind of story they’re telling with this action figure twist. It airs this Sunday, October 19th, and I can’t wait!
The Treehouse of Horror Bares Fruit

I just saw the description for this year’s *Treehouse of Horror* on FOX. It sounds like Springfield is going to be terrorized by a monster coming from the sewers. Plus, Krusty’s Halloween special will have a pretty spooky guest, and we’ll be jumping way into the future to see what Springfield looks like a thousand years from now. It’s the thirty-sixth installment, and it airs on FOX on Sunday, October 19th, from 8:00 to 8:31 PM Eastern and Pacific time.
It looks like *Treehouse of Horror* specials will continue for a few more years. FOX has renewed *The Simpsons* through season forty, which should give us at least three more Halloween episodes. This season will also feature the show’s 800th episode, promising some exciting surprises. While reaching 1,000 episodes seems unlikely, it’s amazing how long this animated series has been running.
In addition to continuing on television, *The Simpsons* is planning a sequel to their 2007 movie, currently titled *The Simpsons Movie 2*. Set to hit theaters in July 2027, the story is still under wraps, but it’s likely to take the Simpson family on another brand new adventure.
