The Street Fighter Movie’s Character Posters Are Insane (In The Best Way Possible)

2026 promises to be an exciting year for film, and one movie generating a lot of buzz is the new Street Fighter adaptation. The film has been attracting attention thanks to its impressive cast, and tonight at The Game Awards, fans finally got a first glimpse with new footage and character posters. These posters showcase the talented actors in their recognizable Street Fighter costumes, and some of the designs are remarkably creative. You can see them all below.

We now have 17 character posters offering our clearest view yet of the fighters, including Akuma, Ryu, Ken, Blanka, M. Bison, Guile, Cammy, Chun-Li, and Zangeif. Though these characters all appear in the trailer, the posters showcase much more detail in their designs and how closely they resemble their video game counterparts – and some of the looks are quite striking.

Blanka and Zangeif are particularly impressive. This is our first glimpse of Jason Momoa as Blanka, as he wasn’t in the initial footage. He looks remarkably like the character from the games, and while his movements and fighting style are crucial, his overall appearance is spot-on. Olivier Richters as Zangeif is incredibly intimidating, even just on the poster, and perfectly captures the character’s powerful presence from the games.

The cast also features strong performances from Andrew Schulz as Dan, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Mel Jarnson as Cammy, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, and David Dastmalchian as M. Bison. While not everyone will agree on how they look, most of the characters feel like they’ve stepped directly out of the video games, and the initial footage has me really looking forward to seeing the action unfold.

The cast of the upcoming Street Fighter movie includes Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, Andrew Koji as Ryu, and Callina Liang as Chun-Li. Other stars include Joe Anoai (Roman Reigns) as Akuma, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson as Balrog, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Orville Peck as Vega, Olivier Richters as Zangief, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli, Alexander Volkanovski as Joe, Kyle Mooney as Marvin, and Mel Jarnson as Cammy. More details are available in the official description.

Okay, so this new Street Fighter movie takes place back in ’93, and it’s awesome! It focuses on Ryu and Ken, who aren’t exactly friends anymore, but they get pulled back into fighting when this incredible woman, Chun-Li, asks them to compete in the World Warrior Tournament. It’s supposed to be this huge, intense battle, but there’s way more going on than just the tournament itself. Turns out there’s a really dangerous conspiracy, and it forces Ryu and Ken to not only fight each other, but also deal with stuff from their pasts. Seriously, if they don’t figure things out, things are going to get really bad – like, game over bad!

Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the movie Street Fighter promises to deliver the classic arcade action – complete with iconic moves like Hadoukens and roundhouse kicks – to the big screen, featuring all the characters fans love.

Street Fighter hits theaters on October 16, 2026.
