Aspyr, the company that brought the original Tomb Raider games back to life with updated versions, seems to be planning some new content. They recently released a short, mysterious video showing Lara Croft swimming, and announced that more information will be revealed on March 12th.
What are we expecting from the announcement? It’s likely to include extra content – things like unlockable items and small additions – for either the fun Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered or the somewhat imperfect Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered.
There might be some exciting things coming for the Tomb Raider franchise. We could see a remastered version of Tomb Raider: Underworld, and there’s already Tomb Raider: Catalyst planned for 2027. Plus, a remake of the very first Tomb Raider game, called Legacy of Atlantis, is scheduled to release later this year.
Crystal Dynamics previously collaborated with Aspyr on updated versions of older games, so their upcoming announcement might be related. However, this is just a guess. We’ll know for sure soon, and you can watch the teaser again and try to predict what’s coming later this week.
