The Traitors’ Harriet Tyce says her experience could inspire a new book “in time”

Season 4 of The Traitors really raised the stakes! It introduced exciting new elements like a hidden Traitor and gave the Faithful players a chance to directly question suspects, all in an effort to reveal who was betraying them.

Harriet Tyce strongly believed Rachel Duffy was one of the ‘Faithful’, but she couldn’t prove it. Her fellow players remained skeptical because she had no concrete evidence, only a strong intuition.

Even after being exiled and revealing she was a Faithful, Harriet hadn’t been completely honest with the other players – she was still hiding a few things.

She kept two things secret: that she used to be a lawyer, and that she’s a popular crime novelist with four published books and another one coming out next month.

But could another story be on the way, perhaps inspired by her turn in The Traitors castle?

The question was posed to Harriet at the TopMob Covers Party 2026, and there is hope yet!

We won’t be addressing this issue by talking to people individually, or holding a series of one-on-one meetings. However, we might revisit the idea sometime in the future.

Harriet is very busy preparing for the launch of her new book, Witch Trial, which comes out on February 26th.

The discovery of 18-year-old Christian Shaw’s body in an Edinburgh park sends shockwaves through the city. The surprise intensifies when Eliza Lawson and Isobel Smyth, Christian’s closest friends, are arrested and accused of her murder.

With the constant buzz of social media and growing calls for fairness, stories about bullying are spreading quickly, becoming increasingly disturbing. What began as rumors are now hinting at something much more serious – talk of strange rituals, intense fixations, and a troubled agreement between teenagers that had devastating consequences.

So, this really intriguing story follows Matthew Phillips, a heart surgeon – a good one, apparently – who gets stuck with jury duty. It seemed straightforward enough at first, but as the trial went on and the girls involved presented this totally unexpected defense, I started thinking, ‘Wow, things aren’t what they seem!’ It really makes you question everyone’s motives, the evidence presented, and honestly, even your own ability to judge what’s really going on.

Whose story can we believe? Who is trustworthy? And what actually happened to Christian Shaw? The truth will be revealed…

The Traitors season 1-4 are available to watch on BBC iPlayer now.
