Did Harry Clark really get to meet the Pope?
Many people have been wondering about this after the release of ‘Harry Clark Goes to Rome,’ a documentary series that follows the reality TV star on a personal journey of discovery.
The BBC has announced that, after much anticipation, Clark will finally meet Pope Leo XIV, fulfilling a long-held dream. Viewers can watch this touching encounter tomorrow night, April 2nd.
This documentary chronicles a past winner of the game show The Traitors as he travels to Rome seeking personal insight into his faith and identity. He’s trying to understand what it means to be a practicing Catholic today, and a key part of his journey involves a meeting with a very influential global figure.
And against all odds, he does just that.

Clark unexpectedly gets a private meeting with Pope Leo XIV, leading to a touching, dreamlike, and funny conversation that perfectly embodies the movie’s overall feeling.
Clark was incredibly surprised and honored to meet The Pope. He described it as a life-changing experience, made even more special by sharing the moment with his mother, and called it one of the coolest things that has ever happened to him.
I was completely amazed – it was a surreal moment. Here I was, a kid who grew up in a modest home in Slough, sitting across from Pope Leo XIV, discussing how important it is to prioritize mental health. We agreed that everyone deserves to feel life is worth living, regardless of their beliefs.
I want to tell all young people: don’t ever let anyone discourage you from pursuing your goals. Always keep dreaming big and believing in yourself.
This moment is especially meaningful for Clark because he’s sharing it with his mother, the woman who first taught him about faith and helped him through difficult times.

Harry Clark Goes to Rome airs on Thursday 2 April at 10:40pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
