The Traitors legend Alexander Dragonetti reveals what it takes to make a great Faithful

As The Celebrity Traitors nears its return and a fresh season of the show is slated for BBC One in the new year, viewers have a lot of exciting deception to enjoy.

So, if you’re like me and totally obsessed with seeing who can outsmart the castle and its challenges under Claudia Winkleman’s watchful eye, good news! Applications are now open for season 5! And get this – season 3 finalist Alexander Dragonetti has shared some advice for anyone hoping to make it to Faithful territory. Basically, he’s giving us the inside scoop on how to survive! You can check out his tips here.

I’d suggest taking things slow and not rushing into anything. Don’t make any big, impulsive decisions right away. The best piece of advice I can give, he explained, is to blend in and avoid drawing attention to yourself.

Keep a balanced approach – avoid being overly eager or overly reserved. Don’t appear too distrustful, but also don’t be completely naive. If you seem too suspicious, people will exclude you, and if you’re too trusting, you might be taken advantage of. The key is to find a comfortable middle ground and blend in with everyone around you.

I’m so excited – The Celebrity Traitors is almost here! The very first episode starts things off on Wednesday 8th October, and I can’t wait to watch it. It’s going to be amazing!

As a big fan of the show, I noticed something different this time around. Usually, the BBC keeps the celebrity contestants under wraps until pretty close to the premiere. But this season, they did things differently! They actually revealed all 19 brave celebrities who signed up way back in March – much earlier than usual. It definitely got people talking, and I was excited to find out who would be competing!

The cast for this series includes Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church, Clare Balding, David Olusoga, Joe Marler, Joe Wilkinson, Jonathan Ross, Kate Garraway, Lucy Beaumont, Mark Bonnar, Nick Mohammed, Niko Omilana, Paloma Faith, Ruth Codd, Sir Stephen Fry, Tameka Empson and Tom Daley.

Everyone will do their utmost to stay safe and not become a target of the Traitors, or even of the Faithful during discussions…

The Celebrity Traitors begins on 8th October 2025 on BBC One and iPlayer.
