**Warning: Contains spoilers for The Traitors season 4**
The fourth season of The Traitors had a large viewership for its semi-final episode last night, January 22nd.
In the next-to-last episode, things got really tense when Traitors Rachel and Steven both tried to make each other look suspicious.
The episode certainly grabbed viewers’ attention, averaging 8.44 million watchers on BBC One, based on initial ratings.
The latest episode attracted more viewers than Wednesday night’s installment, which had 8.01 million, and significantly outperformed the season four premiere, which averaged 6.4 million viewers.
After a dramatic confrontation between Rachel and Steven on Thursday’s semi-final, their alliance started to weaken. This led to a roundtable discussion where Rachel and Faithful James ended up with an equal number of votes.

Claudia Winkleman then explained that a random draw would decide who was eliminated, and the ‘Chests of Chance’ would reveal the results in the next episode.
You can find out who wins (or loses!) on Friday night’s finale. The BBC has announced it won’t be on at the usual time of 8pm, but will air at 8:30pm instead.
The finale won’t just have a different format—it will also be longer than usual. Instead of the typical 60 minutes, the episode will run for an hour and 15 minutes, ending at 9:45 PM.
Okay, so I was super excited to hear that the season 4 finale is actually going to be shown in cinemas! They’re doing screenings at a bunch of places around the UK, and apparently, you can catch it at places like Exhibit Cinema, Genesis Cinema, the Picturehouse in Finsbury Park, and even the Clapham Grand here in London. It’s going to be awesome to see it on the big screen with other fans!
Fans in northern England can also catch the episode at The Light in Stockport, Mockingbird Cinema in Birmingham, Cultplex in Manchester, and the Showroom in Sheffield.
You can watch new episodes of The Traitors season 4 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer starting Friday, January 23rd at 8:30pm. If you’ve missed any previous seasons, seasons 1 through 3 are currently available to stream on iPlayer.
