The Traitors Season 4 Winner Revealed

Hold on to your kilts: The Traitors officially has a new winner.

Rob Rausch won $220,800 on the season four finale of the Peacock reality competition series on February 26th.

Former Love Island USA contestant emerged victorious, defeating the remaining competitors: Love Island U.K.’s Maura Higgins, Dancing with the Stars professional Mark Ballas, and the close friends and Olympic skating duo Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir.

As the episode began, only Rob and K-pop singer Eric Nam remained as the Traitors. Rob had only brought Eric Nam on board as a fellow Traitor a few days earlier, right before the final showdown.

The finale revealed that Rob and Eric killed Mark after the cliffhanger from last week’s episode on February 19th, leaving just five players remaining to compete in the final round.

Following a last challenge that increased the prize money by $40,000, Johnny was eliminated after Maura cast the deciding vote. The remaining players then participated in the ‘Fire of Truth’ ceremony, where they had to decide whether to continue eliminating players, suspecting a Traitor was still hidden among them, or end the game if they believed everyone left was Faithful.

The players continued competing, and Rob and Maura quietly agreed to eliminate Tara first, then Eric. This meant Maura broke her alliance with Tara, and Rob turned against his fellow Traitor, Eric, who desperately tried to convince Maura that Rob was also a Traitor.

“There’s something not right here. Eric has to be the Traitor,” Maura said in a confessional. “It can’t be Rob, right?”

In the end, she chose to support Rob, making him and his partner the last two contestants and essentially guaranteeing his win on Love Island.

Eric admitted that doing that would have been something he couldn’t live with, explaining, “I just wouldn’t be able to live with myself.”

It wasn’t much of a shock that Rob won, considering he’d been seen as a strong contender from the very beginning, despite being known as a ‘Traitor’ throughout the game.

Rob explained to Alan Cumming that he was feeling conflicted. While he’d won, he also felt he’d betrayed someone he was very close to during the competition.

He added that he “felt bad” for Maura, who called him a “snake” for lying to her all game.

Rob wondered about betraying Eric, asking himself, “Would you hand over $100,000 to a complete stranger you’d just met? I certainly wouldn’t.”

Throughout the season, the 27-year-old consistently demonstrated a strong strategic game, convincing acting skills, and a ruthless willingness to betray anyone who threatened his position—even fellow original traitors Lisa Rinna from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Candiace Dillard Bassett from The Real Housewives of Potomac. This made him the standout player of season four and the clear favorite going into the final episode.

Before becoming known as one of the most strategic Traitors in the show’s history, Rob, an Alabama snake wrangler, was hesitant to betray almost everyone on the cast. He didn’t immediately agree to go to Alan’s castle and needed some persuading before committing to the competition in the Scottish Highlands.

Rob, known from season six of Love Island USA, recently told Erin Lim Rhodes of TopMob News that he initially turned down the opportunity twice. He explained that while he wasn’t eager to return to television, he’s passionate about games and enjoys competing.

So, what ultimately convinced him to join the hit series?

He admitted he only watches one reality TV show, Survivor, and felt this new show had a similar feel. He thought it might be enjoyable, saying, ‘I figured, why not give it a try?’
