Rachel Duffy, the winner of The Traitors season 4, has recently shared news about the passing of her mother, who died a few days after the show’s finale aired on BBC One.
Rachel recently revealed in an interview that her mother had been ill for some time, but her death was unexpected and happened very quickly.
During the show, Rachel talked openly about her mother’s struggles with Parkinson’s disease and dementia. She shared her wish that, if she won, she could take her mother on a memorable vacation and make some lasting memories together.
Rachel announced the loss of her mother on Instagram, saying in a post that the family was deeply saddened by her passing. She asked for privacy as they mourn.

She told BBC News she plans to keep her promise from the show and focus on creating memories with her family.
She expressed how grateful she is to share good times with her loved ones, and is optimistic about having a lot of fun in 2026.
After winning £47,875 on the show with Stephen Libby, Rachel has quit her job as a communications director to spend more time with her family.
She said: “I’ve worked for an amazing organisation for 18 years, helping people in the community.
I decided it was time to prioritize myself and my immediate family.
After winning The Traitors, Rachel is interested in pursuing a career in television. However, she’s told BBC News that finishing her novel – a project she’s been working on for ten years – is her main focus right now.
“It’s a young adult contemporary fantasy book and it’s called The Echo of the Embers,” she said.
“It’s a first in a trilogy. Just watch this space.”
