Kelley Mack’s family is sharing more details about her untimely death.
Two days following the disclosure of the passing of a former cast member from “The Walking Dead,” who portrayed Addy in season nine on AMC, her family confirmed in a statement to The New York Times on August 6th that she succumbed to an aggressive brain tumor.
One day prior, Kelley’s sister Kathryn shared that she died on Aug. 2 at age 33.

Before her unfortunate demise, it was disclosed that Kelley (her real name being Kelley Lynne Klebenow) had been fighting against a rare form of brain cancer known as diffuse midline glioma. This type of tumor specifically grows in the central parts of the brain, including areas like the brainstem, thalamus, and spinal cord, as per the Mayo Clinic’s description.
During her battle with cancer, she had a challenging operation that necessitated her learning to walk again.

She explained that following surgery on her spinal cord for a biopsy, she has experienced loss of function in her right leg and significant loss in her left leg. As a result, she now navigates using a walker and a wheelchair.
Two months later, the 9-1-1 alum shared she had been making progress on moving around on her own.
She mentioned, in relation to a recent Instagram video featuring her and her boyfriend Logan, that she’s climbed these stairs twice over the past few days. She expressed that this is significant for her, considering the various challenges she’s been facing in her life lately. (In other words, isn’t it true that life has had its highs and lows recently?)
After her sister’s demise, Kathryn pondered over the influence her sister still exerts on people around her.
Kathryn explained that Kelley had appeared to several of her dear ones, taking the shape of different butterflies,” she went on. “Her absence will be deeply felt by numerous people in a way that language fails to capture.
