Another show is coming to a close. It’s approaching the end of its third season and will conclude with a fourth and final season.
At New York Comic-Con, AMC highlighted *The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon*. The panel included cast members and a sneak peek at the last two episodes of Season 3. They also announced Season 4 is coming and shared a preview of behind-the-scenes footage.
Okay, so the season wraps up with Daryl and Carol finding themselves back at the place where everything began – that shipwreck in Spain. It really forces them to have a raw, honest talk. Daryl’s questioning everything, honestly – like, why did he even leave in the first place? It made me realize that whole trip to Europe was really sparked by him trying to figure things out, and it all came full circle in that conversation.
“I don’t understand any of this,” Daryl said, frustrated. “All my life, I’ve just been on the move, constantly running and fighting. That’s been my entire existence.”
Daryl shares that he’s always felt like an outsider and worries that feeling will return when they go home. Carol is trying to reassure him.
This nearly two-minute video isn’t filled with typical zombie action – no fighting or fast chases. Instead, it shows why the series has remained popular for so long, and particularly why fans love Carol and Daryl. While their close bond never became romantic, they’ve consistently supported each other through thick and thin, and their natural connection is clear throughout.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Is Already Filming
AMC announced at San Diego Comic-Con that Season 3 of the show will premiere on September 7th. They also revealed that this season will be the last, and filming began in late July. Since then, production has been underway, and AMC gave fans a sneak peek with a behind-the-scenes clip at New York Comic Con.
The new one-minute trailer is packed with zombies, intense action, and emotional moments. Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride, while filming in Spain, shared that they’re working on an exciting next season. They previously filmed Season 3 in the same location.
The show is currently enjoying strong reviews, with critics giving it an 80% rating and viewers a 64% – the best audience score of the series so far. This season also received the highest critical acclaim to date. According to creator Kenny McBride, Season 4 promises to be even more impressive than Season 3, which was already a hit.
The next episode of *The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon* will be available on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, October 12th, with the season finale airing on October 19th. There’s no confirmed release date for Season 4 yet.
