Since it first aired in 2021, HBO’s The White Lotus has captivated viewers with its tense, darkly funny stories. The show quickly became a hit, earning 11 Emmy nominations after its first season and sparking constant discussion online – even between seasons. Created by Mike White, the series is known for keeping plot details under wraps, which only adds to its intrigue. With each new installment, The White Lotus continues to receive both critical acclaim and strong viewership.
Season four is shaping up with exciting new cast members including Chloe Bennet (known from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Sandra Bernhard (The King of Comedy), and Helena Bonham Carter (Fight Club). Joining them are Heather Graham (Boogie Nights, They Will Kill You), Rosie Perez (White Men Can’t Jump, The Flight Attendant), and Ben Schnetzer (The Madison). Like previous seasons, this one will be set in a new location – France – and will feature a few familiar faces to tie it all together. Filming will take place in Paris and at the beautiful Chateau de la Messardiere hotel in Saint-Tropez.
I’m getting so excited about the new season! They’ve just announced some fantastic additions to the cast: Tobias Santelmann, Frida Gustavsson, and Laura Smet. That’s on top of the already amazing Steve Coogan, Ari Graynor, and Kumail Nanjiani – what a lineup! I’ve been reading over at Parade Magazine, and everyone’s already wondering if this might be the best season yet. And get this – they’ve cast Vincent Cassel! I remember him being incredible in Ocean’s Twelve and Black Swan – he always brings something special to any film he’s in. The international talent they’re bringing in is really impressive.

After the third season of The White Lotus aired, many people wondered what would happen to the show. With Warner Bros. (HBO’s parent company) merging with Paramount Skydance, there were concerns about its future. However, recent reports suggest that HBO CEO Casey Bloys is likely to remain in his position, which is good news for fans of the series.
All that’s left now is to wait for the new season. While we’re waiting, we can always rewatch the old episodes! And if you’re looking for a funny movie featuring someone from season four, check out For a Good Time Call… (2012) with Ari Graynor. I first saw it at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012 and have been recommending it to friends ever since. It’s a lighthearted comedy about two New Yorkers who start a phone-sex business, and it might be just what we need to lighten the mood before the next season of The White Lotus begins.
