The charming adventure RPG, The Witch’s Bakery, is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in 2026, joining the previously planned release on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). This announcement comes from publisher Silver Lining Interactive and developer Sunny Lab.
Here is an overview of the game, via Silver Lining Interactive:
About
In The Witch’s Bakery, you play as a cheerful witch who starts a bakery in modern-day Paris. What makes her unique is her ability to sense people’s feelings and use magic to heal their emotional wounds. It’s a 2D adventure RPG where baking and heartfelt magic come together!
Your Daily Life as a Witch-Baker in Paris
You play as Lunne, who has just arrived in the city! Each day is split into three phases:
- Daytime – When Lunne manages her bakery and serves clients with her team of friends.
- Evening – When Lunne explores Paris, builds relationships, discovers the city’s secrets and goes inside her friends’ troubled heart.
- Night – When Lunne rests, improves her magic, decorates her bakery and spends time in her cosy atelier.
As the story unfolds over time, you’ll gain experience, earn money, and become famous. You’ll also make new friends and help them overcome their problems.
A Colorful Paris in a Joyful Adventure
After work, you can explore different parts of Paris, meet interesting people, learn new skills through various activities, and even collect recipes by buying books.
For example, there’s “Le Quai des Bouquinistes” in Paris’s sixth district. It’s famous for its booksellers and collectors who sell things like vinyl records, posters, and vintage magazines. Plus, you can enjoy views of the stunning Notre-Dame cathedral while you’re there!
Each district has its own characters, activities and shops!
A Story About Emotions and Vulnerability
Sometimes when I’m playing, I come across characters who are really closed off emotionally. That’s where I, as Lunne, have to dive into their heart – literally! It’s like entering this crazy, magical place called a ‘Heart Palace’ where all their feelings and thoughts are made real. My job is to find these little emotion characters and guide them back where they belong, back to the person’s heart. It’s a pretty wild experience, honestly.
Okay, so I finally made it into the Heart Palace, and it’s wild! I’m basically digging into this person’s biggest problems, and it turns out that’s what I need to bake a special bread – a bread that can actually heal them. It’s a pretty cool mechanic, honestly!
