Even though the TV show The Boys has finished, the world of The Boys will continue with new stories. Soldier Boy will be a key character in these future projects. He became a very important figure in the series starting in season 3, so many fans were surprised by how his story ended in the final season, feeling it left some questions unanswered.
It probably won’t be long before we find out what happened to Soldier Boy. In season 5, episode 7, he revealed he was planning to leave the country to escape Homelander’s erratic behavior. Homelander, furious, attacked and knocked him unconscious, freezing him back into stasis. Since he hasn’t been mentioned since, Soldier Boy is likely still contained in his tank somewhere in Vought Tower. Even though the main stories of Homelander and the Boys might be finished, this leaves the possibility that Soldier Boy’s story could continue.
Vought Rising Needs To Address Soldier Boy’s The Boys Fate

The next installment in the world of The Boys is Vought Rising, coming to Prime Video around 2027. This series will be a prequel, taking place in the 1950s and focusing on Soldier Boy and Stormfront as they investigate a murder. The first trailer suggests the show will reveal more about Soldier Boy’s past, something fans haven’t seen much of, and may also offer hints about his future.
Although Vought Rising will mostly be set in the past, it might also include scenes that take place after the events of The Boys, showing what happens to Soldier Boy next. This approach is similar to the popular show Better Call Saul, which successfully interweaves scenes showing what its main character did after the events of Breaking Bad. Vought Rising could use the same technique to show more of Soldier Boy’s story.
Even if Soldier Boy doesn’t appear often in Vought Rising, his story after The Boys could still be addressed in a brief scene after the credits. This would tie up loose ends for fans of the character and could hint at future stories involving Soldier Boy, either in later seasons of Vought Rising or a potential spinoff series.
Vought Rising Could Secretly Set Up Another Present-Day The Boys Story

Currently, the focus is on telling Soldier Boy’s origin story within the world of The Boys, but the Vought Rising series has the potential to launch a new storyline set in the present day. Even though Homelander is gone by the end of The Boys, Vought International, Soldier Boy, and many other superpowered individuals remain. Butcher predicted that another figure like Homelander would inevitably emerge, suggesting there are still stories to tell beyond season 5. While the original main characters might not be part of these future storylines, Soldier Boy should definitely be involved.
The recent series Vought Rising opens the door for potential future storylines involving Soldier Boy, perhaps by revealing more about his past. The next installment in The Boys universe will be The Boys: Mexico, a spin-off focusing on Vought’s operations in Mexico. Given Soldier Boy’s history of global activity, it would make sense for him to appear in this new series, potentially after the events of the main The Boys show.
Including Soldier Boy in The Boys: Mexico would be a smart move for the show. Announcing his return could attract viewers familiar with The Boys. More importantly, it would tie all the live-action The Boys series together – even the brief appearance of Soldier Boy (played by Jensen Ackles) in Gen V. As one of the most popular characters from The Boys, continuing Soldier Boy’s storyline could help expand the entire franchise.
