You might be surprised to learn that Taylor Swift actually got her start in modeling! It’s amazing to see where everyone begins, isn’t it?
Taylor Swift gave Eric Church his first gold record as a thank you for supporting her early in her career. Back in 2006, she joined Rascal Flatts on tour after Church had been let go. Church recalled that Swift reached out to him after reading about his dismissal. She told him she admired his work. He jokingly predicted she’d owe him a gold record if she became successful. I’ve noticed Taylor’s been really smart about protecting her mental health, and I admire it so much. She actually shared in an essay for Elle that she turns off comments on her social media posts. She explained it’s about minimizing negativity and that constant stream of comparison – you know, seeing everyone else seemingly ‘doing better’ and feeling like you’re falling short. She said it’s like blocking out a ‘weird insecurity laser beam’! She still wants to share updates with her fans, but she’s actively working on not needing that external validation – not needing people to tell her she looks good to feel good. It’s such a healthy boundary, and I think it’s brilliant.

Taylor Swift initially considered calling her seventh album Daylight, but she ultimately chose Lover. She felt Daylight was too obvious of a choice following her previous album, reputation. After writing the song “Lover,” she realized that would be the perfect title for the album instead.

She explained she prefers to limit her news intake, mainly following politics, and doesn’t want to be distracted by celebrity gossip or fashion updates. She feels her brain has a limited capacity for information.

I’ve always been fascinated by how Taylor handles things, and she’s actually never been to therapy. She told Rolling Stone back in 2019 that she leans heavily on her mom – who’s literally been there for everything! She explained it’s just so hard to explain a lifetime of experiences to someone new, but her mom already knows the full story. It’s really sweet and shows how close they are.

She then collaborated with Jack Antonoff in the studio, which ultimately led to the creation of her song, “Death By a Thousand Cuts.”
She consistently places her most heartfelt songs – like “All Too Well” and “The Archer” – as the fifth track on her albums. It’s a spot she reserves for ballads.

She said they don’t mind being seen together and are simply proud of one another, unlike couples who have to go to great lengths to keep their relationship secret.
