Today’s PlayStation games often don’t stay available for long. Publishers can remove titles from the PS Store whenever they want, making content feel temporary.
That will affect several games over the next couple of months, with some major names among them.
Here’s everything you need to know:
- Genshin Impact (PS4): 25th February (Delisted); 8th April (Online Services Disabled)
- The Finals (PS4): 18th March (Online Services Disabled)
- WBSC eBaseball: Power Pros (PS4): 31st March (Online Services Disabled)
- WWE 2K24 (PS5, PS4): 31st March (Online Services Disabled)
With Genshin Impact, arguably the biggest game mentioned, you can carry your game progress over to a PS5, or to other platforms like PC or mobile. Just be sure to use the same account.
Any Trophies you’re missing will remain unobtainable, as the game requires an Internet connection.
If you’ve primarily been playing a game on the PS5 and earning trophies, it’s a good idea to also download and sign in to the PS4 version. This can automatically unlock any trophies you’ve already earned on other platforms.
The Finals is also a live service game, and you’ll be able to carry over your game progress if you switch to the PS5 version. The PS5 version will continue to be supported and playable for the time being.
Konami announced plans for a future update to WBSC eBaseball, but fans will have to wait as there are no current plans for a new Power Pros game.
WWE 2K24 was removed from the PlayStation Store earlier this year, and now it’s being completely taken down, meaning its online features will no longer work. You’ll still be able to play some parts of the game offline, but earning Trophies will be affected, so be aware of that.
