The latest changes to PS Plus are now live in many regions, and with that, we know which PS5 and PS4 games will be removed from the service in January 2026.
As a reminder, these four games will be leaving the PS Plus Extra library on January 20, 2026, according to the ‘Last Chance to Play’ notice.
- Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (PS5, PS4)
- SD Gundam Battle Alliance (PS5, PS4)
- Sayonara Wild Hearts (PS4)
- Monopoly Plus (PS4)
As a PlayStation Plus fan, I was a little bummed to learn that the Extra tier works differently than Essential. With Essential, once you download a game, it’s yours as long as you stay subscribed. But with Extra, if a game leaves the service – and a bunch will on January 20th, 2026 – you’ll lose access unless you actually buy it. So, if there are any games in the Extra catalog I really love, I’ll need to purchase them if I want to keep playing them after that date.
Okay, so the good news is I’ve got plenty of time to jump into any of these games before they leave! Even the longest one, SD Gundam Battle Alliance, is only about 18 hours, which is totally doable. Sayonara Wild Hearts is super quick – just around two hours – and the Yakuza spin-off, The Man Who Erased His Name, takes about 12 hours to finish the main story. I think I can definitely fit them all in!
