We usually hear about the most popular video games, but what about the ones that don’t top the charts? According to new year-end reports from Circana on US game sales, analyst Mat Piscatella is sharing some interesting data about those lesser-known titles.
Piscatella reports that people in the USA are still officially buying games for older PlayStation consoles like the PS2, PSP, and PS Vita. Surprisingly, some of these games were even purchased just once in 2025.
It’s surprising to see a store selling PlayStation 2, PSP, and PS Vita games labeled as “new” years after those consoles stopped being made, but somehow these games are still being listed as current stock.
