Funko previously released a popular sleeping Godzilla Pop! figure in 2024 as part of the *Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire* collection. Now, they’re adding three new, extra-large versions that are even more adorable. This wave also includes two wide-awake, limited-edition Godzilla Pops!
Funko is releasing a new collection of Super-Sized 6-Inch Pop! figures featuring Godzilla monsters! The lineup includes Godzilla, Space Godzilla, and the three-headed King Ghidorah, all depicted asleep. Based on the movie *Son of Godzilla*, the Godzilla figure comes with Minilla, his adopted son. This version of Godzilla has a slightly cartoonish design, mirroring the film’s style. A special GameStop exclusive features King Ghidorah in both sleeping and battle poses. Completing the collection is a limited-edition Shin Godzilla, available only on Amazon with just 9,500 units produced.

Funko is releasing new collectibles based on Godzilla’s Showa Era films, and fans are thrilled to revisit these classic movies. Ben Hathaway from Comicbook recently ranked the Showa films, noting that while most are great, a few don’t quite live up to expectations. For example, *Son of Godzilla*, which introduced the character Manilla, landed at number 12 out of 15 on his list – a ranking that likely won’t surprise many fans.
According to Hathaway, this was the first time the Godzilla series intentionally aimed at a younger audience, and while it doesn’t quite reach the level of being truly bad, it can feel awkward at times. He also points out that the scientists and their weather machine aren’t very engaging for kids, making it not entirely successful as a children’s movie. However, he does appreciate the monsters Kimacuras and Kumonga. You can find the full list here, and it might inspire you to rewatch all the Godzilla films!
