We just received a trailer that’s easily the most violent and intense we’ve seen all year – and considering it’s only been six days into the new year, that’s saying something! Given the film’s title, ‘They Will Kill You,’ it’s not surprising, and the trailer definitely delivers on that promise of brutality.
This movie is a wild, over-the-top blend of horror, action, and comedy. A young woman finds herself trapped in the lair of a dangerous cult called the Virgil, and she has to survive the night to avoid becoming their next sacrifice. Expect plenty of intense action, gruesome kills, and a darkly funny ride.
The movie features a talented cast including Zazie Beetz, Myha’La, Paterson Joseph, Tom Felton, Heather Graham, and Patricia Arquette. We’re especially excited to see Heather Graham and Patricia Arquette back on screen – both are fantastic actresses who haven’t had a major role in a while. The trailer gives off a similar energy to the film ‘Ready or Not,’ and its sequel is coming out later this year.
As a horror fan, I’m really excited about this new project. The director, Kirill Sokolov, is a Russian filmmaker – born in Leningrad – and his previous movies, ‘Why Don’t You Just Die’ and ‘No Looking Back,’ definitely hint at the kind of intense stuff he does. Plus, Andy Muscietti – who directed ‘It’ and ‘Mama’, though let’s forget ‘The Flash’ ever happened – is involved, and he knows his way around a scary movie!
They Will Kill You will be released in the UK on 27th March 2026
