About

Experience BLACKWOOD, a thrilling action game with a compelling story and satisfying, fluid combat.

Anton Blackwood owns a small DVD store in Brooklyn, where he finds a bit of peace in everyday life. A coworker sees a softer side of him that he usually keeps hidden. The game lets you live Anton’s life, running the store and his apartment, as he struggles to stay strong in a demanding city.

During the day, I’m just Anton, running the local video store. But once the shop closes and the city gets quiet, I head downstairs to my basement – it’s my little hideaway. That’s when I really come alive. I move through the city as a lethal assassin, and honestly, all those crime movies I watch actually help! I’m all about those brutal close-combat takedowns, setting up kills using the environment, and just barely surviving crazy chases, both on foot and in cars. It’s a rush!

Anton believes he’s the hero of his own life, but a hidden figure is actually pulling the strings. In *BLACKWOOD*, a striking visual style meets harsh violence, and the story unfolds based on the choices made and their resulting impact. Every conflict is a serious test, and every decision carries weight.

BLACKWOOD combines intense, up-close fighting with a gradually unfolding story. The game takes you from the cramped space of a Brooklyn DVD store basement to the vibrant, dangerous streets of New York City in 2012. Each fight is carefully planned and feels like an action movie, and your decisions matter. The quieter scenes with the woman in the store serve as a reminder to Anton—and the player—that even in a dark world, hope and humanity can still be found.
