This is the Best Way to Offload Unwanted Digimon in Time Stranger, And Here’s Why

If you enjoy collecting creatures, Digimon Story: Time Stranger has plenty of new Digimon for you to add to your team. After encountering a Digimon in battle several times, you can convert it and immediately add it to your group. This makes building a large Digimon collection quite simple, especially while you’re focused on leveling up. Having a lot of Digimon stored in your DigiBank has many advantages, but occasionally you’ll want to remove extras or duplicates. Time Stranger provides a few ways to get rid of unwanted Digimon, but I consistently prefer one method over the others.

After you Convert a Digmon, it will be added to your available Digimon. You have a lot of space – up to 999 slots! – but you might want to reduce your collection to quickly find the best Digimon for a specific task. To remove a Digimon, you can either use Return to Data or Load Enhancements. Both options have advantages, but I personally prefer Load Enhancements most of the time.

How to Get Rid of Unwanted Digimon in Time Stranger, Explained

If you want to remove a Digimon you don’t need anymore, go to the Digimon menu. There, you’ll find two ways to permanently take it out of your box. You can choose Return to Data, which deletes the Digimon and gives you Yen as a reward. This is a good choice if you’re short on money and need to buy some helpful items.

Another choice is Load Enhancements. This option, like others, will require you to delete some of your Digimon. But instead of receiving Yen, you’ll gain a different benefit. Load Enhancements allows you to combine Digimon you don’t need with a Digimon you *do* want, effectively boosting its power and stats.

Both methods are useful in different situations. Yen can be scarce when you’re first starting, so earning money by battling Digimon has advantages. However, Load Enhancements allow you to gain experience quickly and level up your Digimon, which is really helpful if you need to power up a specific Digimon rapidly.

Why Using “Load Enhancements” Could Be Your Best Bet in Time Stranger

I usually choose the Load Enhancements feature to remove Digimon I don’t need. It’s a fast way to earn a lot of EXP for the Digimon you actually want to train. So, if you’re preparing for a difficult battle or trying to fulfill the conditions to Digivolve a specific Digimon, consider using unwanted Digimon to strengthen the ones you prefer.

Since you can eventually convert any Digimon after battling it enough times, it’s essentially a way to store experience points. When you convert a Digimon, it continues to gain EXP while in your storage. This makes them stronger and provides even more useful Digimon to help level up others. This allows you to earn extra EXP with every fight, without needing to use the Digifarm or wait for idle time.

You might sometimes need more Yen. However, generally, converting all your Digimon and then using Load Enhancements is usually more effective. This allows you to eliminate Digimon you don’t need while also speeding up your team’s leveling process, which can significantly lessen the difficult grind.

However, just reverting Digimon back to data earns you money. This can be helpful when you’re trying to save for healing items or power-ups. But unless you have a specific purchase in mind, it’s usually better to focus on making your Digimon stronger rather than accumulating cash. As you progress in battles and find some valuable resources, money often becomes less of a concern. But strengthening your Digimon? That’s almost always a worthwhile investment.
